Reduced Fees

In order to increase the accessibility of mental health services, we provide a limited number of reduced-fee slots that may or may not be time-limited. We acknowledge the impact of oppressive systems on the lived experiences and mental health of People of the Global Majority, particularly on Black and Indigenous folx. To inquire about the availability of reduced rates and scholarship spots, please reach out to us via email.

The therapists at Ember Willow Therapy are a part of the Therapist Network of the We Are Family Mental Health Assistance Program, which provides competent and affirming mental health therapy to LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults. Learn more about the program here.

Insurance

The therapists at Ember Willow Therapy do not accept insurance at this time, and I are not "in-network” with any insurance providers. Although we do not file insurance claims on a client's behalf, we do provide "superbills" (itemized receipts) that a client can submit to their insurance company for potential reimbursement. Whether or not you would be reimbursed for out-of-network sessions depends entirely upon your particular insurance plan and benefits. To determine how much your insurance will reimburse for out of network services, please contact your health insurance provider directly.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
