A note about restrooms

The Ten Mile on Rivers office building does not provide gender neutral bathrooms. We understand how this might impact the felt sense of safety of Queer and Trans clients, particularly in the current political climate. If you would like referrals for clinicians in the area that do provide gender-neutral bathrooms, please reach out, and we would be happy to assist.

Land & Labor Acknowledgements

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge the sacred land on which we practice, remembering this land has been stolen from Indigenous Peoples who are still here today. We acknowledge the ongoing hurt of colonization. In the Charleston area, we recognize in particular the Edisto Natchez-Kusso, the Etiwan, the Kiawah, the Sewee, the Stono and the Wassamasaw Tribe of Varnertown. We thank and honor the Indigenous Peoples for stewarding these lands for generations, past, present and future. We advocate for Land Back and Indigenous Sovereignty.

Labor Acknowledgement

We acknowledge the history of slavery upon this land, with Charleston having been North America's largest transatlantic port of entry for the trafficking of kidnapped, enslaved African peoples. We acknowledge the wealth and profit built upon the bodies and souls of Black people. We acknowledge persistence of systemic, structural, institutional and cultural racism and oppression as a result of white supremacy. We are committed to continuing to unlearn, de-center ourselves, make reparations and work towards dismantling white supremacy.

In the therapy space, we acknowledge the impact of oppressive systems on the lived experiences and mental health of People of the Global Majority, particularly on Black and Indigenous folx. To inquire about the availability of reduced rates and scholarship spots, please reach out to us here
